On Sunday, March 11, 2007 the Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church suffered a great loss as the Lord called our beloved Pastor, Elder Doctor Lawrence Odell Perry, from his earthly labor to his heavenly reward.

As a church we are grateful to God that he sent Dr. Perry to us if only for a brief time. He served this flock faithfully and with love for almost five years. He lived daily in the will of God and was a great example for all who knew him.

We solicit the prayers of all who truly know the Lord as we strive to continue the work that Pastor Perry had started with the continued planning and eventual building of a new Church Sanctuary.

We praise GOD for the Leadership of Pastor Perry and feel that his last written words spoke volumes about his life, "I preached it, I believed it and now I have finished".
